How to help

• For those in Ethiopia, or considering visiting the country, the easiest way you can help is simply to visit Awash National Park. The more visitors the park gets, the easier it is to demonstrate to the decision makers the need to protect the park.
• Purchase SANP t-shirts, photo cards, postcards and the Guide to the Common Mammals of Awash National Park which are available at ANP’s Amareti Entrance Gate and Filoha Café. All proceeds generated from the sale of the merchandise go towards the SANP projects.
• Become a volunteer. Whether you are in Ethiopia or abroad, SANP is looking for people from all walks of life to help with fundraising, promote Awash National Park, and participate in conservation projects within the park. If you are interested, email

• Become a Friend of Awash National Park. Membership is open to all who are interested in supporting Awash National Park and the not for profit organisation “Save Awash National Park” (SANP). Members receive a six-monthly update on the progress of SANP and, more importantly, provide much needed financial support. All current proceeds go towards the 210,000Birr ($US 22,000) needed to develop a general management plan for the park.
